A foundation dedicated to art
Dexia BIL's patronage of the arts took a new direction with the creation in 1999 of the Indépendance Foundation to promote art and culture in all its various forms of expression, especially contemporary art. The aim of the Foundation is also to support artists in furthering their training.
The Foundation collaborates in many projects such as the Nuit des musées (Museums' night) with the Casino Luxembourg and supports associations such as the Cercle artistique de Luxembourg.
It also contributes to the conservation and enrichment of the national cultural heritage through the gift of works and objects to the museums of art and history and completely or partly organises, sponsors or finances related exhibitions and publications.
